Baked Beans And Oats Update: Because I can’t post what I wanted to post today, which was about Calvin Robinson’s Scottish Island. Is he still buying it? He should, but no cult. If I had clout I’d recruit him, Brett Murphy and Rev Dan to front rebuilding Elgin Cathedral and a compulsory national single Christian Church. They have the gift of the gab and the correct religious beliefs. At present they are floundering around in the vast wilderness of transgressors without a purpose.
Anyway: A quick recipe for mushy peas and porridge oats. One small can of mushy peas. Equal amount of porridge oats in a microwave dish. Add a little salt, mustard and sauce, (Mayonnaise?) but not too much. Stir lightly and push a nob of butter in the centre and cover. Microwave on full power for 3 mins. The butter will be sizzling. Stir and serve. I had mine with the rib of a king, (Shaped Pork) and chips. I don’t eat chips as often as I’m giving the impression I do. I did used to like a king rib in batter from a chip shop. Many years since I had one. No batter this time but okay with the oats.
