Oh No Olympics:
The first result I heard was an event won by a man with a husband and children, and that effectively ended the Olympics for me. Not that Satan’s world will fret over my viewing choices, but talking about viewing choices I notice that the UK’s TV Channel 4 own YouTube videos, more or less. Not only the videos, but also what and who is advertised on them. I came across this scenario once before with Grampian TV in the north of Scotland. They promoted music, but it turned out they promoted only music they recorded in their own recording studios in Wick Thurso, north of Inverness, Scotland. Grampian Records. It was effectively a closed shop, just as YouTube videos and TV advertising has become. The late queen Elizabeth was heavily involved in Grampian TV, with her friend the late Captain Tennant, who was Lord Lieutenant of Moray the chairman. Should I ask again if the green Land Rover discovery used to transport Prince Philip’s coffin at his funeral was the same vehicle as seen on Channel 4’s ‘Last of the Summer Wine’? Gie other people a chance eh. Too late for me and see if I care.
