Conspiracy Theories. I’ll Give You Another:
It is not a theory that when organised criminals take over a business by extortion the first thing they do is put up a sign saying ‘no card payments accepted, cash only,’ and of course the money goes in their pockets. However: I think they have moved into the world of big business. Take for example the demise of the Post Office counters. Who wrote the faulty software? (Probably a university somewhere in India? Why are nearly all phone calls made to large companies answered by someone in India? Why are all Post Offices run by Indians now) Anyway: I think people with accounts with large companies are actually paying their bills to organised crime. So much breaks down now that we can’t even be sure our accounts have not been closed and are continued only by crime. I’ve heard stories in the news about things like smart meters no longer working, and well, can you be sure they are still registered in the names of the people who have them. Companies might just think they’ve switched suppliers. This could go a long way to explaining the huge rises in costs right across the board? Fuel, food, power, broadband, Etc. We know that the Post Office part is true. Though we don’t know conclusively who was behind it.
